Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage

Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) is a ground-breaking technique, developed to mirror Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and adapted for application via the reflexes of the feet (or hands). The original protocol was researched and developed by Sally Kay whilst working in cancer care for clients with unilateral secondary lymphoedema of the arm following breast cancer surgery. The protocol can also be used for bilateral and lower limb lymphoedema.

Lymphoedema is defined as tissue swelling due the failure of lymph drainage, and it can be a debilitating condition with both physical and emotional effects.

Indications are that RLD, like MLD, may be helpful for many other concerns including helping to remove excess fluid and rebalance the body, respiratory, skin and sinus problems and fatigue.

Measurements will normally be taken prior to each session for lymphoedema clients, however if this is not something you would be comfortable with that is not a problem, just let me know.
